Founded in 2010 by four bartenders who became close friends while working in Stockholm’s vibrant cocktail scene, the Bartenders’ Choice Awards (BCA) was born from a shared conviction: the rapidly rising craft cocktail movement deserved a series of awards that matched its ambition, creativity, and professionalism. At the time, no accolade fully reflected the level of skill, hospitality, and innovation transforming Nordic bars so they set out to create one that would.

Their mission was clear: to elevate the status of bartending and give proper recognition to the people shaping modern hospitality.

Since then, BCA has grown to become the most prestigious accolade in the Nordic bar world. Its unique jury of 600 industry professionals and cocktail connoisseurs is widely regarded as one of the most knowledgeable and trusted in the field.

Each year, this expert jury nominates and votes for the best in multiple categories, culminating in the highly anticipated BCA Gala.

BCA celebrates true hospitality and honors outstanding achievements by bartenders, cocktail bars, and drinks brands. It has become a unifying force in the industry, fostering community and connection among hospitality professionals regionally and internationally.

Now, after 15 years of continuous growth, we are proud to introduce the Bartenders’ Choice Awards to the dynamic and inspiring French cocktail scene.
